All TCD teachers are certified in CPR, Infant & Child
First Aid, Developmental Screening, American Disability Act, Breast Feeding, and
Basic Health and Safety Training. The teachers also perform twenty-four hours
of in-service training every year.
Teachers conduct ongoing observations and assessments of
the children. The information that is gained from these assessments and
observations is included in their lesson planning process. We also support our
students with special needs by welcoming and supporting itinerant specialists
in speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and special
education.
